Associate Project Engineer
Job Responsibilities
(All duties are to be performed within a continuous improvement and team mindset.)
- Manage and coordinate project assignments specific to the engineering duties required for development initiatives related to new and/or existing products.
- Manage project assignments by employing advanced design tasks that require the operation of computer-aided design software & equipment, and testing & inspection equipment & programs.
- Determine scales.
- Perform advanced calculations.
- Prepare design layouts.
- Serve as a liaison engineer for operations by supporting technical issues as they pertain to product and/or product injection molds.
- Support customer service to resolve customer complaint issues as they pertain to product and/or product injection molds.
- Assist project manager with new product design and new tool execution.
Education
Baccalaureate degree required with a concentration of studies within mechanical or plastics engineering disciplines.
Previous Experience Required/Preferred
- Experience with injection mold engineering, product design, or project management within the injection molding of polyolefins for production operation of high-speed, high-cavitation tools.
- Experience in 3D CAD (preferably in SolidWorks).
- Experience in 2D CAD design.
- Development and management of strategic supplier relationships.
