Over the past year, we have introduced five new innovative flip-top closures that meet the needs of a variety of different markets from nutritional products to condiments to pet food and care. In addition to our development efforts, we have taken significant steps to make our facility more environmentally friendly. Visit our facility online to see our production process in action.
With apologies to a famous frog, in the business world, it’s not so difficult being green. That is, as long as you have a corporate-wide commitment to become a major player in environment-friendly sustainable packaging. We continue to make strides in our sustainable initiatives such as introducing a companywide recycling program, purchasing more energy efficient equipment, and reducing our scrap by 2%. We were even awarded one of Smart Business Magazines eVolution Awards for our sustainability achievements.

SUCCESS STORY
|
Blue Diamond has teamed up with Weatherchem to launch a new package for a series of tasty almond snacks. The curvaceous container was designed to fit perfectly in a woman’s hand and the labeling on the side of the package provides a window so that consumers can accurately measure how many nuts they eat in one serving. The cap itself was designed to be 10% lighter like all new projects in our development labs. A deep thumb indent makes the package especially easy to open and the flip-top cap provides the consumer with portion control. Blue Diamond expects this package to be a major hit with women in the marketplace.
