Cleveland, OH - In conjunction with Procter & Gamble, Pharmavite LLC, a California-based vitamin manufacturer launched the OLAY® Vitamins dietary supplement line utilizing Weatherchem's NutraFlapper® closures.

When creating the OLAY package, Pharmavite focused on providing both convenience and value to their customers. Dan Murphy, Manager of Packaging Development states, "the NutraFlapper® closure allows harmavite to offer its consumers a simple, easy-to-use dispensing solution for tablets and soft gels". "We discovered through consumer testing that 88% of consumers found the flip top cap easy to use and dispense from," said Barbara Lindquist.
Pharmavite chose the NutraFlapper closure to enhance OLAY and Pharmavite's brand building program. Murphy goes on to say, "using the gold cap on OLAY Vitamins provides a link to OLAY skin care. Weatherchem was highly instrumental in bringing to the line a custom, easy-to-peel innerseal with the printed OLAY name, further enhancing the OLAY brand image. NutraFlappers used for Nature Made® brand has its logo embossed on the top of the closure. That and the custom Nature Made logo on the innerseal strengthen the quality perception of the brand." According to Murphy, another benefit is that "Pharmavite experienced minimal interruption to its manufacturing process when the company switched from a non-dispensing closure to the NutraFlapper".
